24 million Americans consume 74 alcoholic drinks per week?

Post 59 of 114

The top 10 percent of American drinkers – 24 million adults over age 18 – consume, on average, 74 alcoholic drinks per week. Remember, 1 drink is defined as about 150ml of wine (12%), 340ml of beer (5%) or 43ml of liquor (40%). — Hard to believe that 10% of all American over 18 consume (not 10% of alcohol consumers) drink more than 2 bottles of wine a day!
